Almost all sleep apps, podcasts and videos use pre-recorded looping audio.

This can be counterproductive, as the subconcious mind listens out for patterns in sound, expecting the next repeated loop and therefore preventing true relaxation.

White noise generators avoid this problem, by emmiting noise that is truly random and therefore unpredicatable, so the brain gives up looking for repeated patterns- but many people find white noise unpleasant and/or boring to listen to.

Omsonics uses carefully recorded sounds and music along with specially programmed procedual techniques, harnessing the power of randomisation for a perfect balance between familiarity and unpredictibilty.

Also features:

Customisable levels for each sonic element

Sleep timer for each scene

Adjustable binaural beats

Airplay casting to external speakers

Floating, blissful ambient music for calm relaxation, meditation and focus

“When our son was born, I tried all sorts of sounds and apps to help him sleep and relax. One day I played him the soundscape I was working on for a videogame, and was amazed at how effective it was. I figured it was because many techniques used in videogame audio are about creating pleasant, effective soundscapes that don’t distract or detract from the player's attention. So I set out to create an easy-to-use app that would use these techniques to help others sleep, relax, focus and meditate, while avoiding the negative aspects of commercial apps such as advertising and data collection."
