I started learning cello and piano aged 8, and from an early age was exposed to aspects of film-making through my parents' carreers as anthropological documentary makers . I was a music scholar at St. Paul's School, and a student at the Junior Guildhall School of Music and Drama, I then studied for a BA in Music at Oxford University followed by an MA in Composing for Screen at the National Film School, in pursuit of bringing my two passions of film and composition together.
In 2005-6 I worked as Audio Director at Trocadero Studios, an international animation company based within the Paris Aquarium, and since 2007 have been living and working freelance from a high-spec home studio in London, UK. From there I produce both electric and acoustic scores for projects with wide-ranging budgets and requirements, using in-house and external recording sessions with soloists, ethnic groups, choirs and string ensembles. As a cellist, I am a member of the West London Sinfonia and use my own performances within projects when appropriate.
. I am used to working with clients at home and abroad, both face-to-face and remotely via phone and internet communication, from briefs ranging from flexible to highly specific.
